Royal prerogatives, like that exercised, for instance, by the Tudor dynasty in England, are gone for ever. "The prerogative was absolute, both in theory and in practice. Traditions that include this collection of terms prefer the term "deuterocanonical" books, not the Apocrypha. Sir Thomas Cranmer, martyr and author and theologian, has also passed on to us a most valuable book, the Book of Common Prayer. I appreciated the quotes from saints and heroes of the faith.
